This is not the end but a beautiful beginning

I sent out an e-mail today to all the Sr.s that I had e-mail addresses for. I thought I'd share it with the rest of you. Ps-Natalie, if I had any mistakes in this e-mail I am so sorry. I didn't even read over it to see if everything made sense.

Wow. Well here it is. My end-of-the-school-year e-mail. You all might think it's weird that I'm doing this, considering I didn't do an e-mail last year but on the drive home today I realized that I needed to say something. So here it is...

This is it people. The end of what we have come to consider an era. Though we will no longer have the label of "high schooler" attached to us we will still have to deal with drama, hard class assignments, and teachers who just don't like us but if we are strong enough to live through 4 years of it, I believe that we all are strong enough to live through a life time of it. On Monday, when your alarm goes off at it's usual time, just remember that even though these past few days have been hard on us all, whether we've had to deal with a lack of school spirit or maybe just hard times at home, we have one less thing to think about at 8 am in the morning (Thank you God).
This isn't Grease. We won't break out into song on the last day but that doesn't mean that it has to suck or be uber sad. I'm going to make Friday wonderful. I am going to march into that school with a smile and be the person who I've wanted to be all year. I am going to greet all of my friends with a "Can you Believe it?" or a "We've Made it" and not a "This day will suck" or "Uck, I can't wait till this is all over." I am going to enjoy every last second of tomorrow and when it's over I'm not going to cry because this is not goodbye but hello. We have only completed one tiny step of our lives. We have many, many more to go.
College is going to be scary for us all. It's new. It's different. It's a beginning. Don't worry about that. There are others going through the exact same thing! I know there are people out there, that like me, are most worried about being assigned a freaky roommate to share a dorm with. Dear Lord, protect me from the messy people! I will survive a bad roommate, just like I've survived everything else.

I have compiled a list of advice as we leave for the outside world. I hope you enjoy!

~Don't regret the things that have happened these 4 years. Everything happens for a purpose. We learn from our mistakes, do we not?

~Never forget that you are beautiful because you really are.

~Smile. Not only does it use less muscles than frowning but if it doesn't make your day, then it will make someone else's.

~Be you, even if others don't like it. Be as weird as you want to. Be as smart as you think you are because it's not what those OTHER people think. It's what you think that matters.

~Have fun not matter what or else it really isn't worth doing what you're doing. As Mary Poppins says,

"In ev'ry job that must be done
There is an element of fun
You find the fun and snap!
The job's a game"

~You make life what it is. Don't forget that.

~Don't obsess over things that you do not have control over. Instead think about the wonderful occurrences in life.

~Believe in something. Have faith.

~You are cool. You are more than cool. You are wicked awesome.

~Sing everyday.

~Play everyday.

I won't drag out this ending like some kind of bad commencement speech. I don't want to wish you all good luck because I believe none of you need it. You all will succeed in whatever you put your heart into.
This is not Farwell
This is just another hello.

Paranoid? Nah, not me.

Stuck in my head: "Say my name" by Destiny's Child
I am: zoned out

Natalie joined for the Shrek 2 preview last night. It was great. I think we were the only ones in the theater who couldn't stop laughing! I gave her, her little grad. gift (a doll called "Mr. Wonderful). She didn't seem to enthusiastic but then again who is at 12am? By the end of the night I caught her caressing the doll more than once. It was worth it to see that.

I know I've talked about my intense case of paranoia before but I have to bring this up one more time. Last night a few guys were sitting behind Natalie and I (Goodness, I can't even remember who exactly it was) and I swear I heard my name, not once but twice. Sure it was probably something like
"Hey, Laura's fat head is in my view"
or
"Hey, Laura's friend has on a Teen Girl Squad shirt"
or even
"Hey, Laura's friend is hot"
lol (because they always say that about my friends. Especially when Tamila came in. Hahaha I don't think I even have to mention what Chad said about Katelyn. What can I say? I hang out with pretty people).

10 reasons why I can' t wait to leave KHS

10. The Art classes that suck
9. The people in my art classes that suck
8. The pointless busy work which really doesn't keep us busy
7. The lack of time I have because of the # of Clubs I joined, which is really my own fault
6. The air heads who can never seem to complete a sentence "but...like..yeah..whatever"
5. The jerky freshmen
4. The drama which seems to be brough up on an hourly basis
3. The lack of respect from teachers
2. The strain on my creativity
1. The christians who really aren't christian. Somehow they are always talking about God and getting wasted on the weekends

By Golly I think this week might actually rock

Stuck in my head: "The Oscar Meyer/Bologna Song"
I am: confused

How do I still have black ink on my hands? It looks like I've been working the the coal mill. Does springfield even have a coal mill? ::cough cough:: I think I'm getting the black lung pop. This is what I get for messing around with Mrs. Bylander's pens. DARN YOU BYLANDER AND YOUR PENS!!!

Ack I just rubbed my eye with one of the inky fingers. It burns!!

So, I've been wanting to buy Six Feet Under: Season 1 on DVD for quite some time but I had mixed feelings about actually doing it because it would set me back $70! Well, it looks like I'm not going to have to buy it because Andrew is having a special screening at his house tonight and he was nice enough to invited me to come watch it. So now I can see the series without having to buy it! Yay! If it turns out to suck I'm going to cry. Mostly because there is now ink in my eye by partly because I made such a big deal about seeing it.

Losers are the coolest people in the world

Stuck in my head: "Six feet from the edge"-Creed
I am: relaxed

You remember how in elementry school, how important it felt to be picked to play dodge ball? How the losers and winners were always determained by who was picked first and last? Do you remember how stupid that was?? Honestly a person can't go through life without experiencing that atleast once just because there will always be jerks to push someone around. Everyone has been the loser at one time or another but you really don't have to be the loser. No one should ever have the ability to make you feel like crap. That only happens if you give them that power. You control how you feel.

Example: Ashley has been pushed around by this one teacher all year long. He didn't give her the right part in the play. He's a total jerk to her. He makes her do his bidding and overall makes her life a living hell. If I were in her situation I would have had a mental break down by now but somehow she has found a way to gain control of all that. She doesn't let him control her feelings. Instead of making the situation worse by complaining about it all the time she ends up finding a positive in it all. Ashley rocks because of that!

Anyway I just wanted to prove a point. Jerks will always be jerks but that doesn't mean that you have to let them control your life.

'night!

Art teachers will be the death of me

Stuck in my head: "Blame" by Cadet
I am: Pissed off and yet still happy at the same time

ARG! My art teacher is making me come back to school on the 24th for her final because I have an A-. Yes, you read that correctly. I have an A- in ART!! I am so ticked off right now. I think my face is red from anger.
When she told me that I'd have to take the final I asked her what grade I had. Her irratiated response was
"Laura you only have an A-"
. First of all, the whole school knows the rule for Sr.s is that if you have an A (minus or not) you don't have to take the final. It's the teachers way of giving the Sr.s a break. Second of all, my entire family is coming up on the 24th for graduation and we're supposed to have a little get together then!! I am an excellent student and therefore deserve a straight A. I do darn it!

I start MIT-Training (or for those of you who have no idea what those letters stand for ....manager-in-training-training) today. Everyone has been coming up to me and asking me what I'm going to wear. Even Chad asked me (which is weird beyond all belief). I think i told two people last night that I was wearing "clothes" when they asked. They didn't think it was as funny as I did. Hmm.
I'm excited but I feel like I really shouldn't show it. I mean it's great that I'm getting promoted but I don't want to throw it in other people's faces. That's just not cool man. Just not cool.

Speaking of Chad...the other night, over the walkie-takie, he said,
"LOL"
He didn't say "laughing out loud. He said "L-O-L." It was hillarious. I called him a dork. He had no decent come back. I couldn't stop laughing for like an hour.

Oh! Before I end this tiny post, I want to recommend that everyone listen to "blame" by Cadet. Then, when you're finished with that song, you should listen to Cadet's entire CD. Then send them lots and lots of money along with notes saying that you don't want them to break up.
I was listening to that song in my car last night and it hit me who that song reminds me of. We, and when I say "we" I mean I, shall refer to this person as X because the name really ain't that important (and don't try to guess who it is because most likely you're wrong. MUHAHHAHAHAHA lol!), what's important is that I found their theme song lol. Anyway "X" is up and down like a roller coaster. One min. they're mad, then sad, then ticked at random stupid stuff, then moderately happy, then ticked off again. Most of the time they're mad. Only the Lord knows why. Those types of people get on my nerves. Some people get so caught up in the small stuff that they forget about all the things that they've been blessed with.

So yeah. I can pretty much assign a theme song to anyone. In fact my next post shall be a list of my friends and their theme songs. YAY!

But...but...I want it NOW

Stuck in my head: "Not guilty" by the Beatles
I am: regretful, amused, and tired all at the same time

Lol people fight over the stupidest of things. Seriously! In a perfect world, people would look at each other, say a few sentences in an agressive tone and then go back to normal. I think that my dream of this
"perfect argument"
is possible. For instance, today I really wanted my Sandman issue 1 comic back that I had lent to Natalie mostly because someone else would like to borrow it. Now everyone must understand I am VERY attached to my books. They are like my children (I know it's a sick attachment). Anyway I called Nat last night and asked her to bring it today. Unfortunately she forgot. So I admit I got a bit agressive with my tone and asked her to bring it to my house after school. Of course my aggressiveness only cause her to become agressive and as you can imagine there were ill feelings by the end of the conversation. My point is that Natalie and I can have this sort of "argument" and get over it. Why? Because we're mature enough to realize that a stupid graphic novel is not worth fighting over. We're not going to run off and start talking about how the other person sucks because there would be no point!! It's a freakin' graphic novel!! I have already gotten over the fact that she didn't bring it and now can admit that I was over-reacting. See? This is how everyday life SHOULD BE. Unlike in other enviroments where friends fight then talk about each other behind their backs and blah blah blah. Natalie and I already delt with that Sophmore year. It's not as fun as the brochure promises.

Wispered words and that sort of thing

Stuck in my head: "Play that funky music white boy..."
I am: slightly less annoyed but still annoyed

Natalie just came in the journalism room and wispered to me to come into the band room during lunch. Uck, the band room. I have spent way too much time in there already (I mean I dedicated a year of my high school life to band!).
I asked her "what's in the band room?"
She replied "pizza and cake." Yeah that's all I needed to know.

I saw an episode of X-Files last night that had never seen (obviously from a later season) and I was shocked at how horrible it was! #1 there was no plot and #2 Mulder went insane at the end! I believe one of the final quotes was
"it's like he's in coma only he's awake and his brain is functioning. I would say that he's suffered a seizure only his brain waves indicate that he hasn't."
Then, to make things worse, they introduce this new chacter, a female doctor, who appearently is sleeping with Mulder. AND SCULLY DOESN'T KNOW!! ::gasp:: How stupid is that?! He's awake but in a coma? He's sleeping with random women? Come on people!
On a crapiness scaled from 1 to 10 this one was a solid 9!

I swear if that noodle falls on my head...

Stuck in my head: Dream On by Aerosmith
I am: annoyed

I am in the library center...for outdoor living...doing nothing....again. I am hidden myself in the young adult section once again so that I may read my graphic novels and play on the computer in peace. It's quite nice. It gets my mind off of ANNOYING PEOPLE WHO WON'T SHUT UP. I keep looking up to see this sculpture of a bunch of pool noodles intertwined with a bunch of hola-hoops. I've very afraid of it falling on my head. Pray for me.

I'm regreting not bringing in my sketch book at the moment because I had this white colored pencil on black paper, piece that I'm re-doing that I'd like to finish this week. It's all that's been on my mind the past 2 days. I wanted to finish/start it yesterday in journalism, since my pages are all turned in, but something came up that I had to attend to first. Grr. I really shouldn't "grr" at that. I did agree to help out even though I REALLY just wanted a day off. Oh well. There shouldn't be anything that needs to be done today so maybe I can work on some art.

I did get a chance to play an exciting game of spoons yesterday. I almost won too but then Brandon had to be a jerk and claw his way to first place. Grr Brandon. Grr. David and I decorated some of the plastic spoons afterwards. I must say yesterday was the first time I had ever seen a "peturbed" spoon. David is a wiz with those weird faces!

I gave Kristin the Harry Potter 3 trailer that I save from the trash. It was so funny because she wasn't sure what it was at first. Then she read the lable on the film and she got this huge smile on her face. There is just something so rewarding about making someone's day. I should try and save another HP3 trailer for Katelyn.

ACK! Brandon just took my picture!! DARN HIM! I must go steal the camera out of his hands and make him pay.

Later!

Ode to projector #4

Oh, projector number four,
standing there on the cold unswept floor,
I want to treasure you and show you love,
an emotion I have found that you are quite void of.

Oh why won't you stop brian-wrapping on me?
I love you, I need you (and this job), can't you see???

Your focus knob is broken,
Your masking won't open.
You apature plate slips out.
Geeze, now what is this sound problem I hear about?

Oh, Projector number four,
Oh Why God, Oh Why God? No MORE!

"I'm a paper bag!"

ROFL!!

So yesterday I was walking by concession and I saw this paper bag on the counter and for some reason I got the urge to walk over, make the opening of the bag move like a mouth while I said in the creepiest voice possible
"I'm a paper bag!"
(darn you Hannah and those stupid banana comercials). Well I walked into the back room laughing like crazy and Michael U. looks at me and said what kind of crack have you been smoking?"(which is a very good question considering I was laughing about a paper bag...yes people...a paper bag) and Alyson responed for me with a kind "The same kind that you do." It was great!! Alyson rocks. It's been decided.

This morning I couldn't find my sketch book and I started FLIPPING OUT!! I tore everything in my room apart and screaming at the dogs, as if that would help. I even called my mom to ask her if she could call KHS and tell them that I would be late to school. The funny thing is that right after my room was in shambles I found it. I eyed it as I was tearing apart the couch across the room. It was staring at me from the corner of my desk. I believe it was mocking me. Just like projector #4.

Sunday, May 09, 2004

And then I said "Aww Hell no!"

I had a super time in projection today! I got to use this little ear piece that connects to the walkie talkie so I felt pretty cool. Although Chad said I looked like Daniel G.(I would attempt to spell his last name but I would fail miserably). Then Lori said that I kind of looked like Daniel G. too but only because I was wearing the ear piece. Lori tried to make me feel better by saying that at least I looked like I was doing something important by wearing it.

4 Reasons why I love Will Smith

4.He looks awesome in tight grey shirts.
3.He makes all sorts of oober cool sci-fi movies.
2.He takes a stand against cursing in rap.
1.He says "aww Hell NO!" in all his movies

Oh ye of little faith

Ack. My hand is swelling! This is what I get for taking my anger out on the splicer last night! Hehe...I guess smashing it down (to cut the tape) that hard does have its disadvantages. Great. Now there is a large bump on my palm. Chad will probably laugh at me. Yay for swelling!

Man, I was so ticked off last night. You must understand that I don't curse. I NEVER CURSE. I'm weird like that. I just think there are so many prettier words to use. Well anyway, I used TWO REALLY bad curse words last night. I feel rotten about doing that but I was so mad!! I ended up getting into my car and listening to some "SuperChick", which made everything better. ::sigh::

Prom is tonight. Yay for prom!

Video Game night

Memorable moments:

"I'm a banana!"-Hannah
"Your baby voice scares me Hannah" -Natalie
"Those Mario Kart churches are too harsh for me."-Natalie
"I'd totally buy an apple computer if they had Jeff Goldblum on one of their comercials saying 'must go faster must go faster'."-Laura
"Yeah...see they're home schooled and their only text book is the bible."-Hannah

Hehe. I will pray for those who have to find my house.

Alison is coming over to my house today. Let's hope that she doesn't fall asleep and forget to come or even worse....get lost on the forbidden weaver road ::plays dramatic music::! Haha I can hear the phone conversation now "Umm Laura...I'm seeing a lot of trees. Where do I go now?"

I have to pick up Ashley around 3 and then take her home at 5. She was almost afraid to ask me to haul her around for the day mostly because she knows how much I hate playing "car pool." I told her that me picking her up was evening the score for all those times that I made her waste her gas for me. Like the time I made her drive me to the National Cemetery because I wanted to break in my New/Old camera. Or the time I made her drive us all to the Albino Farm because I wanted to give Tamila the scare of her life.

Dead cats and such

I hate Natalie... and this is why...

http://www.livejournal.com/users/ilblissli/20266.html?view=13866

WHY GOD, WHY??

Just call me the fly that hits your windshield at 45 MPH

Last night, Chad gave me a high five and said "Congrats on being able to tell me what to do" (referring to a recent promotion I have received at work) and it really didn't hit me that I'm going to be higher up on the "food chain." It's weird. Infact I feel weird talking about it with anyone but Becca *who also is being promoted. I guess it's because I have this awful fear that this promotion will cause an uproar. I want people to see this as a positive thing because I don't want to be the cause of new drama. I only want good things to happen for the Springfield 8.

Another thing that hit me today was the fact that Prom is Friday. It's so weird because usually I hate formal dances but this one I'm kind of excited about. Weeeeeird.

Hannah, Natalie, and I's awesome survey is coming along nicely. We just hit question #9. I don't mean to brag but, I think we are the best survey writers in the world.

Yay, Ashley, Nathalie and I (yes I spelled that N-A-T-H-A-L-I-E because it's not Natty J. its the F.E.S. Nathalie from Sweden) are hanging out at MY house tomorrow. I'm VERY EXCITED. I think I'm going to try and start up a "video game day" with them and possibly invite Hannah, Natalie, Alison, Katelyn, and Kristen. It'll be a "Kickapoo Girls who like to Game" thing. It'll rock.

Random Questions

What's up with the old lady screaming and then kissing Tom Cruise in Minority Report? That was just unnecessary and icky. Really it was.

What's with Agatha screaming "run" in Minority Report? It was totally quiet time!

Why can't we all have cool weapons like they had in Minority Report? Then life would be 10 times easier!

Who would of thought that "Honorable Mention" would bring so much happiness to my life?

DUDE!! I won Honorable Mention in the editorial Cartooning section of the Journalism competition!! I can't seem to find words for the emotion I am feeling right now. Would "honored" fit? Haha!

Today rocked my face off!! Not only did I get out of school to chill at SMSU but I got to hang out with Mimi and Brandon!! Mimi told me how her antenna ball was stolen from her car last summer. I almost felt bad telling her of my plans to steal "Larry The Cucumber" off of that black SUV's antenna at school.

Tamila was at the Journalism thingy today as well but she wasn't competing. She was performing her duo for those who were entered into the "review writing" part of the contest. I was tempted to go up and ask what ever happened to that grass and snow that we stole. I didn't though. She looked really pissed lol. I guess I will never know what happened to that stuff... ::sigh::

The Projection God is laughing at me as I speak

Uck. Work was not fun today. Projector 4 brain wrapped (if you don't know what that means then well...let's just say it's not a good thing to happen during a movie) and a spring from Projector 2 popped off. Not only that but I had to break down the Kid's Show. My entire shift was spent upstairs cleaning or doing movie checks. Uck.

I can tell that I'm in need of a long rest because my paranoia is acting up again. I'm starting to think that there's a conspiracy against me. I remember this one time I thought that these two girls behind me in Algebra class were complaining about me when they were really talking about Orange Juice. Then there was this one time I was convinced that birds WANTED me to hit them with my car. It's highly amusing to my friends. Not as amusing to me.

Random story time:
Three years ago my best friend, at the time, was obsessed with this hot upper-classman named Timmy. She had the wedding planed out and everything (I still remember the wedding colors; Silver and Baby Blue). It was the most annoying thing in the entire world!! Everyday it was something new about Timmy. "Timmy sat next to me today" "Timmy wore blue today" "Timmy smiled today..." blah blah blah!! The extent of their relationship was a few phone calls. Yeah, they talked once or twice but never made a date. I don't even think they talked for more then 20 mins with each other.

One night, a group of us drove to his house and grabbed a hand full of grass. Yeah, but that wasn't enough. We went back a second time to grab a handful of snow from his yard. It was sad...very very sad. She honestly thought she was going to marry this guy she barely knew. I was a good friend though. I supported her, even though I knew that this stupid fantasy was..well..stupid. I believe that her obsession killed her. I think it made her life harder because she saw something that she wanted but knew she couldn't have. She made this Timmy guy out to be some kind of perfect person that he probably wasn't. She got over it eventually, when she got a REAL boyfriend (thank you GOD!). When I look back on those days of obsession I laugh because we were acting like 12-year-olds. I wonder what happened to that grass that we stole?

Chad's brother is possibly one of the most beautiful men I have ever seen.

So here's the story. Amanda and I went to Chad's concert, talked to a few people and we even walked around for a bit, feeling really old (most of the people there were like 14. Yuck!) but then we saw him. ::drool:: He looks just like Chad only older and with a more distinct jaw line. Not only that but he has the most amazing hands I have ever seen. When Chad's band was on stage Amanda and I could help but stare how beautiful Mike (Chad's brother) was. He also has the best smile ever!!! I was able to sit by him for a while. It was a great experience. He didn't talk much. That's ok. He's too pretty to talk.

Amanda and I are going to have to fight with Courtney over him. It might get messy.

Because it's fun to write on shoes, that's why!

I just got back from the College group and boy was it fun!! I could have done without being hit on the head 3 times (what is it with guys and hitting or touching my head???) but it's all good. The people there are so nice!! Not only that but I feel spiritualy better since I've been attending this church group (maybe people at work will stop asking me if I'm Christian lol).

I drank WAY too much Kool-aid and now I think my lips will be forever blue. It was "sad" tasting Kool-aid. It need a lot more sugar because I wasn't nearly as hyper as I should have been. Tamila would have thrown a fit if she had tasted that stuff.

Someone used the word "funner" two times last night. It was...interesting. It reminded me of how Natalie and Tamila would fight over "funner." ::sigh:: those were the good times....anyway, Natalie ended up winning the argument most of the time (proving that Funner was not a word). Sadly, when I tried to tell the guy that "funner" is just not a word he just said that it's used enough that it should be. He continued to say that "ain't" isn't a work either but it's still used. I admited that he had a point. I hung my head in shame after that. I HAVE LET NATALIE JAMES DOWN!!! PLEASE FORGIVE ME NATALIE!!

Thursday, Mom is taking me all over town to find a prom dress. I think she's more excited about prom then me. She said something like "don't worry about prices." which is something you DON'T SAY TO ME. Lol, I should go all out and buy gloves, a new purse, and even a little crown. I love shopping with my parents. Not only do they buy the clothes for me but ::prepare for a sappy sentence:: my mom is just fun to shop with. If something doesn't look good on me she tells me. She doesn't beat around the bush.My mom just rocks. I want to take her by American Eagle while we're at the mall. I need some more shirts.

I'm quite excited about friday because I was invited to a "Pajama-rama" party where we will watch movies until our eyes are puffy and blood shot!! SWEET ACTION!!!

I have this awesome idea for a Graduation/Goodbye gift for Ashley but I'm not quite sure if she'll like it. I mean, SHE LOVE IT because it's going to be very sappy and emotional but I'm not sure if she'll really treasure it because...well I can't say much more or else I'll give it away. Let's just say that I got the idea last night after Youth when I playing with my shoes.

I now have an entire shoe dedicated to Ashley. It has almost all of our inside jokes written on it. It saddens me to see a converse all-star shoe with nothing written on it.

I want to make a new shirt for Thursday's Preview (at Sp.8) but I'm not quite sure what to do. Atfirst I thought I'd make that "Natalie James Is My Hero!" shirt but my co-workers really won't get it. The I thought, "Well I still have that yearbook picture of Andrew. I could just swtich the names from Natalie to Andrew." I don't think I want to do that. I think it would weird out Andrew or anyone else who knows Andrew lol. Then I was walking down the hall to go to lunch and I got the greatest idea!! I will go online, find a picture of Bob Goodrich, and put HIM on my shirt!!

Wednesday, April 21, 2004

Dear lord, protect me from the bunnies. Amen.

I AM SO TICKED BECAUSE THIS WILL BE THE SECOND TIME I WILL BE ATEMPTING TO POST THIS!!

So on Natalie's most recent post she talking about a former friend OD-ing well guess what? That was Linzy. When I heard the news I wasn't quite sure how to take it. Linzy and I were pretty close Soph year. I've watched her fall over these past few years and it really hurts to see a friend sink. She's gone through all this crap that I hate to see her go through more. I want to go see her but they only let families into the psych ward. I guess I'll be praying for her. On the bright side the whole situation has inspired me to paint, but not right now. Moving is not an option. My legs and arms hurt WAY too bad to even think about moving.

Today was nice. I was able to work projection alone as scarey as that is. I had a whole 5 hours to myself and yet I didn't have one single deep thought. In fact the only things that ran through my mind were what chipmunks would look like mud wrestling and "love love me do" by the Beatles. Interesting combination, ain't it?

Good news is that brain damage is at an all time low thanks to me realizing that you must be very careful when lifting your head up after threading the bottom platter.

I wonder...

I wonder what my parents would do if they walked into my room only to find all my furniture against one wall and sitting on the carpet singing Swtichfoot songs while I try to bend a spoon with my mind?

I wonder what my dog would look like with purple stripes down her back?

I wonder what Natalie would do if I grew my hair out long and bleached it blonde then walked around all day with a "NATALIE JAMES IS MY HERO!" shirt?

We thoughts you wass a toadddd....

I was driving home today when I started to think about all these little inside jokes Linzy, Tamila, Natalie, Hannah, and I had. I started laughing so hard that I almost had to pull over. It was great.

The one that really got me laughing had to do with the time when I was over at Natalie's for some kind of sleep over. See, I had told Tamila that there was all these dirty things in Disney films but she didn't believe me. So I started to give her examples. I told her about the "crude image" on the Little Mermaid poster, the word "sex" in Lion King", how Aladdin says "all teenagers take off your clothes", and then I told her about how there was a naked woman in The Rescuers. By that time everyone at Natalie's house (Linzy, Sam, Erin, and who knows who else) had been listening to our conversation. Tamila was really ticked that I could even THINK that Disney would do something dirty like that and said that she required proof. So I said "Fine, I'll just get on the internet and show you. I found this site the other day that has all the proof you'll ever need." So we left to go to Natalie's room to go check out the site on her lap top. Well, as we were in there I can hear the rest of the gang laughing and saying how disgusting is was we were looking at Disney porn. When I heard that I screamed "IT'S NOT PORN!!!" It was so funny because it echoed through the entire house. We all couldn't stop laughing.

Another one that still cracks Hannah up is the time, (once again we were at Natalie's house), that we had all gone out to get Sonic and we had gotten to the point where we had run out of topics to talk about. Some how we got on the topic of Ambesol and how it was supposed to be great for numbing your gums. Hannah then mentioned something about how she wasn't sure that the stuff worked too well. For some reason I decided to show my stupidity and say "One time I put it on my lips, just to test it, and they went numb for like 15 mins!" I swear I had never seen Hannah laugh so hard in my life. I believe Natalie was almost on the floor crying.

But that's just a taste of our little inside jokes. Hehe.

Can you spot the infamous Laura?

So here I am attempting to get Ashley's car on her Birthday. What you don't see is that I decorated her car 4 times. It was great because she'd come home, see I put stuff on her car, wash it, and then the next day I'd just write something new. You can tell this is one of my earlier "decorating jobs" because...

#1-there is not nearly enough streamer on her car
#2-I was caught on camera leaving the scene

OMG look at how red my hair is here!! That is just crazy!

PS- I added some stuff on to my earlier post. It was WAYYYY too short.

Burrrrr, I say it's cold in here!

I think I can actually see my breath. How sad is that? It is colder IN the building then outside.

Today I'm going to exercise for twice as long. Maybe that'll warm me up.

Elle: Exercise gives you endorphins. Endorphins make you happy. Happy people just don't kill their husbands, they just don't.
-Legally Blonde

Nothing exciting happened today. I just froze my butt off at school. Ashley and I are trying to make plans to rent Kill Bill Vol. 1 on tue. I don't know if we'll actually get together but hey, it's worth a shot. See, we say we'll hang out with each other but we end up being lazy bums and forgetting.

Ashley has really been getting shafted these past few weeks. First off she didn't get the lead part in the spring play she only got "understudy". Then she finds out that she won't even be in the matinee which would be her only chance for the entire school to see her awesome acting abilities. It sucks. I'm glad she has a positive outlook on it all though. You rock Ashley!

In other news I think I have been beating myself in my sleep because every morning I have a new bruise. Well, it's that or aliens have been abducting my body and using it for weird experiments. I'd like to think that it's just me beating myself though.

Speaking of bruises, I saw Tamila today. She's looking well. She and I had a chat about SMS and which dorms we'll be living in. I told her that Katelyn and I will be in Well's House and she should try and get in there.

I'm so happy that I found a room mate!!!

Hahaha...yeah so...yeah.

Wow, if the Sp. 8 had to do a vote of who worries the most, is the most annoying/drama queen, or is the most self-concerned I'd win by a long shot (so I hear). WHOO HOO! Dude, I'd finally win a contest! Do you know how long it's been since I've won a contest?? I totally deserve a trophy (lol) !! I'm serious...I want my darn trophy (lol)!!!!

So Natalie, Hannah, and I hung out the other night. It was so great getting together with them because they're my only friends who read Neil Gaiman stuff. The night was filled with talk of Sandman and Good Omens. We ended up seeing Ella Enchanted, which really sucked, and then hanging out in the lobby talking about the most random stuff. I'm so glad that I can talk to someone about how John Williams is composing the same music for EVERY MOVIE HE DOES (Star Wars, Indiana Jones, ET, Minority Report, Harry Potter). I had been ranting about that since we had gotten the new Harry Potter trailer and all my co-workers thought I was crazy. Then we got onto the topic of which season of X-Files I should buy. I don't think we really decided but I do remember hearing Season 2 mentioned quite a bit. I almost told Hannah about me finding out that David Duchovny did some porn (I found that out the hard way...ew. Long story. Let's just say I STILL have problems watching X-Files without getting nasty mental images). I believe we also discussed why Ewan McGregor's new movie is rated NC-17. Justin calls it "porn with a plot". I mean, we could probably guess why it was rated that way but there was a debate whether or not we should view it and just fast forward through the nasty parts.

I really need to hang out with them more. I think I'll go to this week's MOrawk meeting.

So Natalie, Hannah, and I had this HUGE debate over who would make the best Sandman, if there series ever happen to make it to film and we concluded that Johnny Depp would perfect. I mean has the long face. It also helps that he's really hot and has that creepy look to him. If anyone else has read the Sandman series feel free to comment on our choice but I highly doubt that anyone else who reads this blog is dorky enough to read Neil Gaiman's graphic novels.

I've decided that my second choice in life would be to grow up to be a hobbit. Let's face it people, hobbits rock. Sure you have to deal with the big hairy feet and height issue but that's worth it when you consider that you'll be merry all the time! Dancing on tables, finding wicked awesome rings that make you invisible, and even hanging out with hobbits that are cool like Elijah Wood! Dude, that would rock!!!

Kristen has invited me to her murder mystery party and I'm totally excited. At Ashley's party I was "Ineda Man", the local flirt who worked at the post office, and I really didn't have that much of a part but this time I'm hoping that I'm the murderer. Kristen can you do that for me? I want to be all sneaky!!

Longfellow Deeds: Whoa, you kinda snuck up on me there...
Emilio: I am, very very sneaky Sr.

Note to self: Hitting your head on the middle platter hurts

Can someone tell me whose idea it was to have everyone and their "momma" come to the theater today??! Seriously, don't people have something better to do than come to the theater and cause problems? What's funny is that today I was supposed to be learning how to open projection I ended up spending only 2 hours up there. The rest of my time was spent serving Eeeevil children popcorn.

I am debating whether or not to have a graduation party. I really don't want to have people over to my house. It requires too much, by that I mean it requires people to ACTUALLY see my house and that's too much lol. There's nothing special about my house lol. It's just a house with doors, windows, and possibly that ghost that opens and shuts doors in my room. That house isn't that big. I just don't know. I get weirded out when people come over. They look around at all my stuff and touch my stuff and mess with my stuff lol. It's so funny because the only people who have been over here are Natalie, Hannah, Tamila, Linzy, and Ashley. Heck, Ashley is my best friend and she's seen my house once lol. I like going to other people's house's. It's just better that way. Like Natalie's house. IT ROCKS!!! I love the little cubby behind the stairs. Or Hannah's house with the hobbit hole!!

***************************

ARG I FORGOT TO BORROW THAT STUPID CD FROM CHAD!! Now I have to drive all the way to the theater. That's fine, I was going to let Justin borrow Zoolander anyway. I think I'll drop by Ashley's and see what she's up to. Maybe she'll want to drive to the Mud House.

Do you have the time
To listen to me whine
About nothing and everything all at once
I am one of those
Melodramatic fools
Neurotic to the bone no doubt about it

Now I got them steadily depressin', low down mind messin', Workin' at the car wash blues

Haha Jim Croce has a song for everything (that's where my title comes from)! Anyway I just spent about 2 hours cleaning my car and all I could think about was that song and how much it makes me laugh.

In other news one of my managers shaved his head and now looks somewhat like the lead singer of Cold Play (stop drooling Hannah, Natalie, Megan, and all you other people obsessed with Cold Play). It's so funny because he hates it so much but it looks awesome.

Kristen inspired post

Kristen had a nifty survey on her site again so I thought I'd just copy her (since I'm already her "clone")

1) Grab the book nearest to you, turn to page 18, find line 4. Write down what it says: Dante's Inferno Adapted by Sandow Birk and Marcus Sanders (they make it modern- "...just like they used to do with wet towels in P.E."
2) Stretch your left arm out as far as you can. What do you touch first?: my hand-painted light switch
3) What is the last thing you watched on TV? American Idol, but I quickly turned it off
4) WITHOUT LOOKING, guess what the time is.
8:05
5) Now look at the clock, what is the actual time?

If bitten, I do bite back.

Tonight I decorate Alyson's car (not you ALISON. You have nothing to fear). It shall be beautiful. I have enlisted the help of Justin (co-worker) and possibly Daniel (guy training me in Booth/projection). Justin knew originally that I was going to do this so I really didn't have to ask him to keep a secret. As for Daniel, the only way he'll let me go on break is if I let him help. [Sandor, you are welcome to help but we have to do it around 11-ish. If we do it too early then things will start falling off.] I'm so afraid that when Alyson finally sees the car she'll attack me. She'll go right for the hair, I know it!!! I'm praying that she won't assume it's me but frankley, everyone knows that I do this whole car decoration gig. There's no use in trying to hide it. Maybe, if I'm lucky, she'll think Amanda did it lol.

Lori kind of knows what's going on but she couldn't and still can't figure out who I'm doing it to. Her first guess was Andrew probably because when we were at lunch the other day she was talking about how I could really get him good. I do plan getting him, but I have to do it at the least expected time. Anyway, so Lori couldn't figure out who tonight's victim is but I told her I'd show her the job once I was done. Which reminds me. I need to run home and grab the digital camera as well as a disposable?camera.

You all should see all the crap I got to put on Alyson's car. MUHAHAHA.

2-500 ft rolls of streamer. Green and Blue.
2-200 ft rolls of Saran Wrap
2-100 ft rolls of clear wrapping paper
4 or 5 "Window Chalk" pens
5 or 6 sporkes decorated with random sayings about sporkes
other random items that shall be taped to the car

I saw Hell Boy last night and it really wasn't bad! In fact I'll probably rent it on video. Laurie kept making really funny comments all the way through the movie. I almost poked her a few times so that I wouldn't laugh during one of those sappy love scenes. There's just something funny about a big red guy with filed down hornes kissing a girl who's who covered in blue flames.

Twords the end of the movie Laurie and I decided that we need a tail like Hell Boy. That way we could use it to do things that once seemed impossible. Like pat our heads and rub our bellies at the same time.

Laurie said I looked really cute in my new 99 cent scarf and bright green V.S. top (Ashley you saw that top. It's the one I wore when we went downtown). Which is awesome because I was a little skeptical of that whole ensemble. DARN THE REST OF YOU PEOPLE FOR NOT COMMENTING ON HOW CUTE I LOOKED!!

Bringing a pillow to the employee meeting, though tempting, is a bad idea

I don't want to go to the stupid employee meeting on Sat. I mean, sure, we get these wicked awesome certificates but honestly that will be the only highlight of the hour. Last time, the only way I stayed awake was by asking really stupid difficult questions. I don't have time to come up with more!!!!! I guess I could bring a sporke with me and jab it into my leg everytime I start to fall asleep but self-destruction doesn't sit well with me. Hehehe sporkes, that reminds me....MUAHAHAHAAHHA!!! Anyway, back to the meeting...I know there is some way I can make it more entertaining. If I could I would bring in my sketch book and do doodles of the managers but I think that's considered rude . Or I could throw gummie bears at the people talking but I'd perfer to not get beat up in the parking lot.

I started writing a new template for my page last night. I took this one I found called "Java" and I'm adding some flavor. I'm so proud!! As Kris (Ashley's Boyfriend) puts it, I'm "one of the few girls who takes interest in learning and writing HTML." How sad is that? HTML is so easy to learn and it's just another form of art, if you ask me, yet some girls get freaked out when they see all the codes.

I'm so giddy today, it's not even funny. Even Ashley took note of my cheery appearence. When I walked up to her during lunch she said "Laura you look really good toady. In fact your glowing!" Hehehe, that only added to my good mood. Mimi caught me randomly laughing a few times. Mimi's pretty cool and she didn't make fun of me but she did look at me weird a few times. It's not my fault that the most random things come to mind!

I didn't get to tell this story yesterday but I thought I could throw it in today. See yesterday we went to go see those two movies. I ended up having to pick up Amanda and being a bit late. So as we're walking into the 16's lobby I say to her "Hop on my back. It's going to be faster!" So she jumps right up there and we go galloping in to the theater. We were laughing so hard that I almost dropped her. A few of the ushers gave us looks but we didn't have enough time to beat them up. By the time we made it into the actual theater the house lights had been brought down and we couldn't see where the rest of our group was sitting. I basicly pushed her off and we ran to find Lori on the opposite side of where we came in. After the movie we both agreed that I should have kept her on my back until we got to our seats because it would have been hilarous to see the looks on our group's faces.

You say petite as if it were a bad thing

Today was nice. I was able to see both Lady Killers and Eternal Sunshine... . Sure both movies were a giant let down but hey, atleast I can tell people that they suck.

I learned an important lesson today, no matter how you say it, guys will always be insulted if you call them small, short, tiny, or any label of that kind. See I don't hang around many guys so I learn things like this the hard way. Lol as I've said three times today, "I'm a bit slow on the uptake."

Hehe that reminds me. The PETRA (rock climbing place in town) guys came today to my outdoor living class to teach us how to repel and how to get our harnesses on. It was so funny because these poor guys kept walking over to me and help me with my knot problems. I must admit some of the screw ups I did on purpose just so that they come over. This guy in my class, Chris something was seriously worried about me attempting to rope climb lol. He kept walking over and making sure I was doing everything the "right way." Then at the end of class he walks over and says "so do you think you'll be able to get the hang of this by next friday (when we'll be tested over what we've learned. If we don't pass then we don't rock climb.)?" I just laughed. Ooo those PETRA guys were hot.

I spent most of 2nd and 3rd hour helping Mrs. Bylander frame some pieces of art work for the Senior show. The best part of doing all that framing was the humor that came from trying to remove the tiny spring-like pieces that held the picture down against the glass. Mrs. Bylander had made a special point of telling Kristen and I that we had to be careful because one could fling out and poke an eye out. Sure we didn't listen too closely, honestly, we didn't believe her. Hehe yeah we probably should have been more careful because during the last 15 mins of class a spring popped out and flew half way cross the room. I could feel the breeze from the spring. I couldn't stop laughing. Kristen was just moderately amused.

Alison came by my 2nd hour to show off her dandy new nose piercing. Lol it looks so tiny!! I was expecting a ring not something like a nail through her nose. It's cute! She has the right amount of nose dimpling for it.

Nose Dimpling (sometimes refered to as Nose Dimple-ige by Kristen and I)- A small natural indentation in the flesh on a part of the human nose around the nostrils.

Alison and I have the best online conversations.

ALiSoN283 (This is Alison) : mwhahaha
ALiSoN283: gay badger
ALiSoN283: haha
HOTsauceOBSESSED: you have GOT to stop with that gay badger stuff
HOTsauceOBSESSED: it's way weird
HOTsauceOBSESSED: lol
HOTsauceOBSESSED: funny but weird
ALiSoN283: lol
ALiSoN283: NEVER!
HOTsauceOBSESSED: everytime you say it I picture a badger in a tutu

And sometimes Hanson does make your day better

I feel so weird saying this but Hanson (their new single, which rocks by the way) has really brightened my day. BRING ON THE BAD NEWS!! I have Hanson to cheer me up!! lol

Tehehhehe. Mistakes were made, computers shall be blamed.

You know that feeling that you get before you get on a rollercoaster? That anticipation; the lump in your throat and the turning stomach, it gets people everytime. It mostly causes people to back out when really they regret not going because you never know if you would have had fun or not. Man, the first time I was in line for Wildfire ("Steal your" Dollar City's newest rollercoaster) I was freakin' out. Ashley just kept telling me that I would be fine but for some reason I just kept imagining myself flying right out of my seat and falling to my death hundreds of feet below. My heart was pounding so hard that Ashley said she could hear it. I watched the people in front of me get into their seat and joyfully wait for the ride to start. A few seconds later they were off and the sounds of screams followed. I kept trying to back out of going but some part of me just wanted to go for the experience. When it came for our group to go we all piled in. I was so scared that I was shaking. The first drop came and I felt my stomach go into my throat. Then there were the various loops. In the end I came out laughing. I had never had so much fun in my life. Now Wild Fire is my favorite ride. Yeah, I hate that feeling of anxiety. Last night on the Real World, Leah had to do this bungee jumping mission and she totally flipped out. She started crying and hyperventelating. Then they had to call an ambulance to try and get her to breathe. It was so sad. I really felt her pain. Sure I would have ended up jumping and possibly NOT FAILING THE MISSION FOR MY TEAM but I understand how anxiety can get the best of you. I guess my point is that when you're given a new experience you should go for it because you'll always regret it if you don't. You'll always question the outcome. Trust me, I've passed up on a bunch of stuff and I regret it.

I've got this massive blister on my finger from the beautiful teapot that sits in my kitchen. Who would have thought that a ketal stays hot for so long. DARN THE TEAPOTS OF THE WORLD!!! It's really starting to annoy me (the blister, not the teapot) because it just won't go away. I've been wearing a band-aid for about 3 days now.

I think I've told about 5 people that they are helping me move into my dorm next year, all of which are girls and can't lift all that much. I know Amanda said she's coming with me to go dorm shopping and possibly help me decorate. I'm worried about bringing my PS2 and brand new TV. First of all I doubt the new TV will even FIT in the dorm room considering how big it is. Second, I really don't want my lovely PS2 to get stolen. I'd cry if it did. Well, I'd hunt down the theif, brutally murder them, and then cry because most likely I wouldn't be able to get it back. I'd probably slaughter them before they had a chance to tell me where they took it.

I stocked up on car vandilizing supplies the other night. I have a brand new "Car Chalk" pen and some streamers. I am making plans but nothing is final. I think I should go all out on the next car I do. I'm thinking 2, 500ft rolls of streamers and possibly tying some coke bottles to the exhaust pipe. I'm also considering some antenna decoration. Ribbons? Home made antenna balls? I'm just not sure. The next two cars that I do will have to be my best work yet. The last random vandalising that I did was so boring. It consisted of me just writing on Amanda's car, Megan's car, and convincing Chad that he probably wouldn't get fired if he wrote on Andrew's car (he only wrote the word "CORK". Whoo hoo. Big freakin' deal!!!

So here I am sitting in journalism waiting for something interesting to happen and wondering why that stupid Hulk action figure won't stop staring at me. I'm a little freaked out by it. It looks all nasty. It's teeth are just so...weird looking. And they way the made the muscles makes him look like he has some serious steroid issues. Yuck. If I had a digital camera I would totally take a picture of it because people must know the horror of this doll.

Well actuall I can probably find a picture of it online....

Here it is.....

Isn't it freaky? What's up with the purple pants? I mean purple with green?? Where they on crack when they came up with that color combination. He looks like a gay leprechaun on steroids!!!

I guess that's it for the day. Enjoy my weirdness!

I love Cumulus Clouds!!

Sure the sky is about to open up and pour like it's never poured before but hey, why not enjoy the beautiful calm before the storm. I only wish I had some blue paint because I love Cumulus Clouds!!! Watch me turn into some weirdo who paints clouds for a living.

I shall become a ninja this week. I'll be as quick as the wind. Muhahaha. I need some kind of awesome ninja name. Hmm. I'll see if Alison has any ideas. Last night she had no faith in my ninja abilities. She says that I'll probably end up falling on my face. Which is probably true.

I think I'll go sit by my window and finish reading "The Shining".

smoooooth ridin'

::sigh:: today was nice, except for the fact that I had to work concession. ARG! Anyway, I got more compliments on my hair WHICH ISN'T CUT (I just started using a different gel so it looks COOLER). I must admit that my hair does look pretttttty darn cute.

Ashley and I had a great time in Branson. I found a really cute scrarf for 99 cents!!! How awesome is that. I ended up getting really cranky halfway though the trip. Mostly because I found this really cute skirt but my pudgy ankles ruined any chance of my buying it. Oh well. When I think about it, it really wasn't that cute.

I have to start drawing II tomorrow with Bylander. I'm a little freaked out. I totally went balistic in that essay that we had to write for our drawing II final. Geeze I feel like a prick for writing what I did...no that's a lie. I love what I wrote.

I have decided that if I every meet Ewan Mcgregor I will do what I can to get him to give me a kiss on the cheek because boy that man is FINE!!! Ooo I totally want to have a dream where Orlando Bloom and Ewan Mcgregor fight over me!!

There are no words to describe my fustration

ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!! MRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! Why????!!!

Damn me and my ability to think!!

I have a shopping problem

I CAN'T STOP SHOPPING!!! Someone stop me before it's too late!! I found some of the most awesome shoes in the entire world and I am deeply affraid that I will buy them. Then I found out about this new brand of shoes called "Sugar Shoes" that are beautiful!! As if that weren't bad enough I have discovered the VAST WORLD of Neil Gaiman Graphic Novels. Sure I knew about the Sandman Series but I had no clue about the last temptation, The Death Series, and many more!!

I'm having a bad life

"I'm having a bad life"...I think that's a quote from some teen movie.

I came to school today expecting to have a super day because that's what's supposed to happen! You're supposed to have a really crappy day and then the next day will be super! Nope...my theory is crap.

First block was fine. The final was easy. It was second block that killed me. Bylander looked at the portfolio and said nothing...nothing. She gave me a B!!! Yet she wouldn't give me some constructive criticism. NONE. I worked my butt off this year to become better at drawing. Appearently I haven't improved.

It doesn't help that like 5 dozen skinny people came up to me this past week and told me that THEY'RE FAT. I hate that so much!! I hate that I look over at Ashley and she's all skinny and toned because she's been going to the gym every day and I TRY to go to the gym and I am GAINING weight.

HAHaha and to top it all off, I don't like going to work anymore. A certain someone makes my life hell there. I'm a person DAMN IT!!! So treat me like it!!!!

When I go home today I am going to burn my sketch book and take a picture of the beautiful flames. Then I'm going to get the film developed and show Mrs. Bylander. I'll tell her it's my best work yet then laugh manicly MUAHAHAHA!!!!

Taking life one breath at a time

I am invisible.

Maybe if I sit here and not say anything they won't notice me. Maybe if I breathe really softly they won't take a second look.

My scultpure was cut out of the All Schools Art Show. Mr. Fielding said that it was a "group concensous." They didn't want it to represent our school I guess. He looked me in the eye and basicly called it crap. It didn't hurt at first. I was just kind of numb. I smiled and said "ok, I'll just pick it up after school." I walked back into Mrs. Bylander's room and avoided eye contact with everyone. I put on my head phones and blasted Cadet for a while. When my ear drums were throbbing I pulled off the head phones and told Carissa that I didn't make it. She could have cared less. She said she wanted to see it. I told her I'd rather her not. From there I just mumbled about how the same people go every year. How Kristen, Francois , and her were lucky to have such a beautiful ability. She didn't hear me. It's best that way. She left the room for a bit, my guess was to find my sculpture. She came back 10 mins later and said that she saw Kristen's tea pot and thought it was really "cool." I knew she had seen my sculpture but she didn't say anything. That's how it is with people and my art. They figure if they can't say anything nice then they just shouldn't say anything at all. Chad did it, Sandor did it, Courtney did it, Lori did it, Mr. Fielding does it to me all the time, as well as Mrs. Bylander, and not to mention the numerous people in my life whose names I cannot remember because obviously they weren't that important.

I fought back tears for 45 mins. I tried not to think about the fact that it's my Senior year and I have yet to be in a show. I thought about how I was starting to like what I was drawing; feel really proud of how I was progressing.

I don't know what to do now. I'm not going to break down, I have too much pride to do that. All I can do is breathe. I'm just going to sit here and pretend that life is sugar plums and lolly pops for the next hour and 45 mins.

I guess this whole experience is a reality check for me.

The essence of Velma

Velma: All you care about are swimsuit models.
Fred: Hey. I'm a man of substance. Dorky chicks like you turn me on, too.

Hahahahaaa, that's actually more entertaining then that Office Space quote.

I'm a people person

Tom Smykowski: Well-well look. I already told you: I deal with the god damn customers so the engineers don't have to. I have people skills; I am good at dealing with people. Can't you understand that? What the hell is wrong with you people?

HAHAHA!!!

There's nothing like a chicken patty to make your day

Work was utterly pointless. Projection training was...informative but utterly boring. I'm sure it would have been a lot more entertaining if we were aloud to actually thread the projectors.

Today's lunch consisted of a brown, bread like meat that appeared to jiggle. I wanted to poke it. So there I was in the lunch room staring at my food wondering if food poisening would give me a chance to sure the school distric. I'm sure Ashley looked over and thought I was crazy.

I was thinking about my old clique and Natalie is probably the most successful of the bunch. I mean only the lord knows where Linzy is, Tamila has been reduced to a clone of Matt, and I...well I'm in my plastic bubble but Natalie is achieving things. She's got these wicked awesome friends OUTSIDE of school and she's going places.

I was thinking about how Linzy had these amazing plans to be an artist and now that she's finally out of school she's stopped drawing. That's why I'm not going to take a year off before college. I want to stay focused on what I want. I want to create and nothing will every stop me from doing that. When I met Kristen last year I told her she reminded me of Linzy mostly because the way she used to draw people looked almost exactly like how Linzy did but the more I got to know her the more "Linzy personality" I saw in her. I sware, if Linzy had a sister it would be Kristen. If you look at the two of them you'd see that there's all these possibilities in the art world. Linzy could have gone anywhere she wanted had she of applied herself but...she didn't. Then look at Kristen. She worked at school and achieved a really high GPA and a almost perfect score on the ACT. It's soooo cool that Kristen is on the track to real stardom. She's already been acepted to Kansas City Art Insitute but I'm encouraging her to go to Chicago A.I. because there are a lot more classes that have to deal with animation specificly. I can see really great things happening for her!

I don't think the word "intense" is strong enough

Working at a movie theater has its advantages and one of those is seeing movies before they come out. Friday I saw 'Passion' and wow...I cried. It is so intense that I don't think anyone under the age of 17 should see it. It is...just wow. Blood is...wow...I just...wow. I thought it was amazing but seeing it at a certain age will....wow... It was almost too intense for me!!! Everything is so graphic. It is censored in no way. Wow...I can't really type what it was like. You'd have to talk to me in person.

Thursday, February 19, 2004

It's quiet. Too quiet.

I stayed home sick today because I almost blew chunks on my way out the door (isn't that a beautiful picture?). It was nice. I got a chance to catch up on my sleep and join the Angel Fan Club. Overall it was a very nice day.

I talked to Alison last night about random stuff. She and I really need to hang out. I know I keep saying that but I JUST DON'T HAVE TIME ANYMORE! That's ok, I don't work Sat. or Sun. so I'll see if we can hang out then.

ABRAHAM
Quarrel sir! no, sir.

Hehehe I can recite all those lines from memory because that's my favorite scene from the movie (the Baz Luhrmann version).

Luck be a lizard tonight...

Hehehe, Sobe comes up with the best sayings!!! I really didn't have anything eventful happen the past few days but hey, that's ok. Laura has many adventures but some are very boring.

Today Sandor (Manager) asked a concession worker to come to the office and Laurie smacked into the door out of excitement. It was freakin' hilarious!!!!! I was red from laughter. We all made fun of her. It's ok, we love her!!!

Natalie agrees that I should be a cartoon character. She said that, today, when I was super upset and did my anger dance (me shaking both fists and hopping up and down) that I looked like an anime character. She said that the only thing missing was the little tear drop above my head. Interesting. That is the 4th time I've been told that I should be a cartoon character. I am totally going to start making my own comic book, about me, and my super adventures. I told Natalie that she'd guest star often.

I used the word "audacity" today. Natalie was impressed. I'm not sure if that means she thinks I'm stupid and don't use big words or even understand them or if she thinks something else (lol). Anyway..I told her that when people are mad they always use the word audacity. It's just something that normally happens. What can I say. When I'm ticked I use audacity.

Really hot cartoon characters...

So Kristen and I once discussed how certain cartoon characters would make great boyfriends. I have an entire list of them in my journal but I've decided to name off a few here and tell why they would make GREAT boyfriends....

1. Aladdin-
There is nothing but action with this guy. One min. he's sweeping you off your feet with a magic carpet ride and musical number and the next min. he's saving the world from evi. Let's face it, you can't go wrong with a guy that loves showing off his beautiful chest. Not only that but he's unselfish, heck he'd give up a lifetime of wishes just so that he can free a friend!! In the end, he'd risk his OWN life just to be with you.

2.All of the Ninja Turtles-
They are no only the strongest reptiles around (have you seen those bicepts?) but they also have hearts of gold. Sure they can be a bit goody goody sometimes but does that really matter when the world is filled with giant rats, biker mice from mars, mutant fish, and really big bunnies. Did I mention they have a healthy appetite for pizza!

3.Any of the male X-Men characters but especially GAMBIT!-
What can I say about these guys other then they are drawn so well! ::drools all over keyboard:: They save the world from prejeduce and other stuff but most importantly they're really hot. ALL OF THEM. ESPECIALLY GAMBIT!!

Just call me green!

You know jealousy right? It's that deadly sin that just won't seem to get off your back? Yeah. I seem to suffer from intense jealousy. I usually can contain it (which has been working out very well the past year but I just ran out of my perscription for chill pills). See, Amanda has this amazing ability to get anyone to open up to her and be all buddy buddy with her. THAT IS SOOOO COOL! I want to be able to do that! This is so high school-ish of me but I think I'm jealous of her because she's the cool girl at work (ya know the one everyone wants to hang out with!). I have issues, what can I say?!!

So today she and I just bombarded Andrew (yes Natalie, the manager that you refer to as "the cute one") at his apartment. Boy was that fun!! It's a long story which is filled with all sorts of awkwardness. I WAS TOTALLY COMFORTABLE! A situation is only weird if you make it weird. Appeartly it was weird for Amanda and Andrew, whatever. I was cool.

There is much more to tell but I must go to the Y and work out and check out the really hot guys!! hehehehehehehehe..........

Why you don't let me know it's your birthday...

I wanted to make Amanda's B-Day special because she had a crummy one last year so what I did was carefully planned and very artistic, I stole her car and vandilized it (lol). I asked some of my fellow co-workers to help me so that I could get it done faster. They were more then willing to help! Ps. you will not see me in any of these pictures because the ones of me suck, and make me look fat which makes me sad and feel fat but that's not the point!!! I did a BUNCH of stuff but also took most of the pictures.

Here we see Becca (co-worker of mine) helping me celebrate Amanda's birthday by secretly stealing her keys, moving her car, and then totally trashing it with balloons and all sorts of B-Day stuff....In this pic Becca is drawing glasses on the front of Amanda's car. I'd like to mention that all the balloons had lovely phrases on them or Elvis quotes/lyrics (SHE LOVES ELVIS!)

Here we see Laurie (another Co-worker) trying to keep me back while she trys to keep all the balloons inside the car.

Here is what Laurie came up with to put on the back of her car. As you can see we all were pretty sick of that stupid Tad Hamilton movie. In this picture you can really see the amount of junk we put in her car.

Here, Becca has helped me put the finishing touches on the car. She told me we needed to go inside because her fingers were going numb. I whined that the car didn't look trashed enough and we ended up staying out there for another 15 mins.

Here's the little "sumthin' sumthin'" we left in her trunk from Daniel (a bag of stale popcorn).

At this point we were pretty much done. Awe in the beauty of what we did....

Finally Amanda finishes off her shift to find that her car is "toe' up!" She finds it very difficult to drive home.

::cough cough:: ya birthday ::cough cough::

I've never felt so sick in my life, well, there was that one time when we were coming back from Texas...but still I feel yucky. My sister called me a big baby. I told her that if I'm a baby then I must get it from her. Hehehe, that's what she gets for not calling me for 3 weeks!! Atleast she called on my Birthday. We had a very nice conversation on how I have to pay like $900 for insurance. She called me a baby again. She said her insurance is about $1100 and how I shouldn't complain. I told her she just mooches off the Air Force and she's a doctor so she's just rolling in the money. I don't think she liked my little comment. She knows I love her and I really do.

I was at the orthodotist the other day sitting in that horribly tacky chair (BTW my word for the month is tacky, because that's what everything appears to be), and Tracy Chapman came over the radio.

I want a ticket to anywhere
Maybe we make a deal
Maybe together we can get somewhere

Anyplace is better
Starting from zero got nothing to lose
Maybe we'll make something
But me myself I got nothing to prove

You got a fast car
And I got a plan to get us out of here
I been working at the convenience store
Managed to save just a little bit of money
We won't have to drive too far
Just 'cross the border and into the city
You and I can both get jobs
And finally see what it means to be living

I never was a really big fan of hers. My sister got me to start listening to her when we still lived in Lawrence. Anyway, my point is that, that if my life was a movie and at that one scene in the movie there needed to be some kind of background song then that would be it. I can just see myself driving to work, cut to me working, cut to me driving back home. Perfect.

Someone said I was really sweet the other day and I didn't know how to respond. Do I say "thank you" and pretend that I'm really this super nice person that I don't think I am? I do nice things for people because that's what christians should do. I SHOULD go out of my way to make people happy because it's the right thing.

I went out of my way to get Laurie a lifesize LOTR character "standee" because she's a good person . I went out of my way to decorate Amanda's car because I knew it would make up for the crap she went through last year. I decorated Ashley's car everyday before her birthday because she does all these nice things for me so I wanted to show her how great she is. I used up my gas in my car to get Andrew the DVD set that he wanted because I knew that if I did that for him then the rest of the day he would just ooze happiness when the rest of his day was really bad...

It's no big deal to me. This is friendship, not even that. I'm being nice because people deserve positive things in negitive times. I'd do just about anything for any of my friends, co-workers, or fellow students and I would hope that they would do the same for others.

Yay, my room is starting to look like a room again

I put away all my books today, who would have thought that a book shelf would be such a great place to store stuff like that?? My room is looking pretty nice. It's almost decent enough to have company over. I feel so bad because I haven't had a person over here for a good year now. I always assume that people want to hang out at other "cool" places but then again you know what happens when you assume (you make an "ass" out of "u" and "me").

My first assignment for drawing class is to draw a shoe. Yes people, I am drawing a SHOE. I must admit I really thought that the assignment was crap until I saw Van Gogh painting of a shoe (which the assignment was based on), then I KNEW the assignment was crap.

Appearently I need to go on that Bill Cosby show because I say the "darndest things"...

Me:Look, I was promised snow days this year.
Amanda: Who promised you that?
Me: God!
Amanda: Excuse me?
Me: God and I had a deal.
Amanda: unable to controll her laughter
Me: I told him it's my Sr. year and I need time off and he said he'd work it all out!
Amanda: trying to cover the laughter with her hands
Me: It's true! God and I are down like that! I call him G-man and he calls me L-Dub! We are very cool with each other!!!
Amanda:now on the floor turning red from laughter

And to end this post I offer this advice...If you're not part of the solution, be part of the problem!

Wow...I am so glad I think before I speak

Bad idea #1:When told you look like a cartoon character, you mention that you have an entire comic book about yourself.

Bad idea #2: Allowing your managers to ask you if you drew pictures of other people, like your friends. Which leads you to blab on and on about your cartoons and then leading you to...

Bad idea #3: telling your managers and friends that you used to be very evil and released your anger through drawing. AKA-I drew pictures of my friends when I was upset at them.

Bad idea #4: when asked if you did that to your co-workers or managers, you stutter which automaticly makes you guilty (when really you don't...well you do, but not bad pictures. You have little cartoons of them that are humorous but in no way offensive). Which then leads to one of the managers requesting to see these cartoons mention and then states that you should post them on your blog. At that point you question how they know you have a blog which reminds you of....

Bad idea #5: Giving one of your managers your blog address.

Dorks must unite (in other words, cartoons are not just for little kids)

Futurama season 3 is coming to DVD soon. I am very excited. Season 2 was great but it cannot compare with the humor of season 3. I don't think anyone but Andrew (Manager at work) and I are excited. I encourage everyone to watch the show atleast once. It's on Fox, sundays at 6pm.

Ewan Fest Details

So far the details of my upcoming Ewan Fest are sketchy. I do know that we will be watching the following movies...

Trainspotting
Moulin Rouge
Down With Love

Episode One (possibly Two because he has more lines and doesn't say "Yes Master" every two seconds
Big Fish

Not sure where the party will be held but I'm open to suggestions. Invitations will be handed out as soon as everything is figured out. If you know someone who is a fan of Ewan, do tell me so that I can invite them! No one shall be left out! Hehehe, lets hope this goes better then last year's Fest.
